Kelby Anderson is a first year Environmental Engineering PhD student who joined Lea Winter’s lab in the Fall of 2023. She obtained her B.S. in chemical engineering in 2022 and M.Eng. in environmental engineering in 2023, both from Lehigh University. Her research on carbon dioxide and nitrogen reduction reactions fits into her overall goal of increasing the applicability, awareness, and eventual adoption of closed loop systems. She believes that there is a future where society can minimize its negative impact by reusing waste streams in new ways. When not in lab, Kelby is either swimming, biking, or running with the triathlon team, volunteering at her church, or enjoying time outside.
